SEPA Outreach Exhibition
Client: Glasgow Science Centre
Scope: Interactives
We are very proud to reveal one of our latest completed projects, working with Glasgow Science Centre to produce a hands on interactive touring exhibition for the Scottish Government and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
This exhibition aims to enhance public awareness of air quality and how air quality is affected by our everyday choices and actions.
The three standalone units have been designed to be as light weight as possible, to fit into the clients van and to be easily assembled and disassembled at selected venues across Scotland.
We worked collaboratively with the team at Glasgow Science Centre to develop their content and concept ideas and also with Ay-Pe, a fellow Yorkshire team, who designed and delivered the air quality game and Place Standard tool that brings the exhibition to life.
Following a request for quote issued to a number of reputable exhibition fabricators, Glasgow Science Centre were happy to appoint Unusual Projects for the design, build and install of the SEPA Air Quality touring exhibition.
The works comprised the build of the exhibition display and associated electromechanical exhibit requirements and the development of the software associated with the interactive exhibits.
Unusual Projects took the design concepts produced by GSC and translated these into an excellent exhibition that adhered to the design specification exactly.
The process was managed seamlessly throughout the design, fabrication, installation and snagging, during challenging times due to COVID-19. Any issues identified were rectified in a timely and professional manner. Communication was a strength of Unusual Projects throughout the project, from all team members involved. GSC look forward to continuing to work with the team in the future.
