ice core

Client: national space centre

Scope: Interactives and exhibition design

We were appointed by the National Space Centre to work with them to produce a bespoke Ice Core Interactive Exhibit as part of the new exhibition works for ‘Home Planet’. The exhibit consists of a thematic representation of a ice core being drilled, visitors can press up and down buttons to activate and direct the drill. We also supplied a scanner which, when moved over an ice core, will display the year and CO2 level in parts per million at that point of the core. The data presented will be from 1850 – 1978.

This was a real team effort, the creative team at the National Space Centre had a clear vision of the exhibits requirements and outcomes, and our interactive designers enjoyed working alongside them to make the exhibit a reality.
