wonderful world of water

Client: severn trent

Scope: Interactives and exhibition design

We worked with the team from Severn Trent to design and build the exciting new exhibition at Carsington Water – ‘Severn Trent’s Wonderful World of Water’. Our brief was to create an innovative and engaging exhibition that is low maintenance and focuses on learning through play.

This project was a real team effort and also included UglyStudios, Emma King Consultancy, Extreme Display Ltd, The Hub, Playscheme, Simon Burger and Stephen Allen alongside the designers and fabricators from Unusual Projects. Our team delivered interpretation, design, graphic design, interactives, models and setworks for the 200sqm visitor centre, outdoor play equipment across three sites AND we even managed to squeeze in new interpretative displays inside a couple of bird hides!

The exhibition features exhibits about water and the amazing work Severn Trent do to provide clean water, treat sewerage and safe habitats for wildlife. They range from manual interactives that allow you to feel your way through slime to discover what surprising items have been found within fat bergs, learn how to become a water engineer, and a particular highlight, learn all about how people cleaned their behinds before the invention of loo roll!

Our internal and external team members really surpassed themselves to deliver such a high quality, fun and informative exhibition in such a tight timeframe and we are immensely proud of them and this exhibition.
