factor us in

Client: british motor museum

Scope: scenic and replicas

After nearly two years of restrictions, The British Motor Museum’s ‘Factor Us In’ exhibition opened at a time when community has become more important than ever. This exhibition was a temporary display that delved into the lives of the West Midlands motor industry workers and explored the impacts and aftermath of factories on the surrounding landscapes, people and businesses.

Our brief was to partner with the always brilliant Form Atlarge to create something which encourages people to engage with the history on their doorstep. This rather heavy subject matter needed to presented in an interesting and accessible way to appeal to all ages.

So how did we do it? The outcome is a hugely immersive and interactive design. We recreated period setworks complete with community voices speaking for themselves from appropriate settings including a sitting room, local corner shop and the main stay of any community – the pub.
