Client: national army museum

Scope: Design Development, Manufacture, and Installation of Exterior Interactive Exhibits

We were approached by the National Army Museum to design, develop and build a plinth with interactive game play which enables the visitor to choose a weapon and then select and correctly load the right ammunition.

The plinth is in the main gallery at the National Army Museum, this space had previously been quite a dark uninviting area and the idea was to bring the area to life and make this more exciting.

Working in partnership with the experienced software designers and illustrators from Joi Polloi we worked very collaboratively with the National Army Museum to design the game play, making this a fun interactive game which is educational and informative.

The most challenging part of this project was ensuring all illustrations used in the game play were historically correct, this was a crucial part of the project and we worked very closely with the curatorial team at NAM to ensure this was correct. Each element was issued to the client for checking and full approval prior to any changes required for the software.

The client was thrilled with the result, the game play is illustrated beautifully and is a perfect addition to the museum.
