Client: titanic belfast

Scope: models & props

Titanic Belfast stands as a remarkable tribute to Belfast's rich maritime heritage, narrating the captivating tales of the Titanic along with her sister vessels, RMS Olympic and HMHS Britannic. We take great pride in our involvement in the recent refurbishment project alongside Marcon Fit-Out, where we had the privilege of creating models and props.

This included cream-colored monitors reminiscent of the 1980s era, which evoke a sense of nostalgia for many. These monitors were meticulously constructed within robust steel boxes clad in strong plastic, featuring a distinct clear acrylic dome at the front to ensure durability. Within each monitor unit, a modern LCD screen is installed to showcase the museum's media content, while rear projecting LED lighting illuminates the accompanying wall graphics.

Furthermore, we painstakingly recreated the bow of the ship, which has been immortalised in the beloved film. Our setwork enables visitors to relive that iconic movie moment, incorporating a durable Iroko timber deck faithfully reproduced by our skilled carpenters to resemble the original, complete with simulated black tar expertly applied between the planks. To ensure safety and longevity, the set is complemented by custom-made white ship railings crafted from heavy gauge metal, designed to withstand the daily foot traffic of the thousands of expected visitors. The curators anticipate this exhibit to be highly popular, providing an opportunity for visitors to capture their own selfie-worthy moment.
